The story of Pro Bettors Academy cannot be told without the history of House of Degens...
Pre-March 2023
A lucky $2,000 round robin turns into a pitch to a friend who'd never bet before.
I hit a round robin when betting for fun, converting my wager into a $2,000 profit. I fell in love with the idea of how sports betting worked. In my head, I thought, "This has to be easy, just make more right decisions than wrong decisions, and you'll get paid. You have all the data in the world on the internet." I knew doing this alone would be more difficult and less fun. So I decided to reach out to Ace and pitch him on the idea.
Ace at the time had never heard of sports betting, and I was just out there sending him winning slip after winning slip, along with the pitch, "Make more right decisions, you get paid, easy." Ace got interested, and Vegas taught him everything he had known about sports betting, including the available resources online. The trouble with that was, Vegas was a complete degenerate at the time who knew nothing at all about sports betting and fed Ace the worst sports betting tips and advice anyone could give.
Bro broo these round robin parlays are the shit, just get 3 right and it's a payday. You have to be a moron to not be able to get 3/4 picks right.
End result? Ace and Vegas bet with the dumbest strategies ever, reading articles from other "handicappers" to build our little $25 round robins. But one thing that did not change was we were always driven by curiosity, ambition, and resilience. We stuck with those core values, and have equally been through it all, all the highs and lows that came with this. We never gave up on each other and kept pushing through. These values were what helped us get to where we are today and build everything you see in front of you right now.

u/VegasIsMyBitch is born, a Reddit persona built purely to troll, for fun.
The Reddit account VegasIsMyBitch, born as a troll account for fun.
Ace and I started being more active in the sports betting niche and decided to create a Reddit account, VegasIsMyBitch, that would have a cocky, confident persona for the sole purpose of trolling other users and bettors on the platform, for fun.

April – December 2023
Real slips, zero bankroll management, and a $4,000 lesson that finally sticks.
July 30, 2022 + yesterday's $3,500 profit performance.
We started making picks together and I would post my slips on Reddit to track our record. At this point Ace and I were fairly new to sports betting and were just doing it solely for fun. In just one week I went on to spend $4,000 on one pick like it was nothing after having another hot week. Sports betting is beautiful, it continues to give and give and give and feed one's ego as much as it can, make one think they are special and different. Just for it to patiently come one day and take it all away. This $4,000 bet had lost that day.
That wasn't the first instance of me slipping and breaking my bankroll. Before hopping onto Reddit, in February 2023 I had grown my betting account again from $1,000 to $10,000 with zero bankroll management and full degen mode. Towards the end of the month, I decided to throw that same $10,000 on the Sacramento Kings to cover the spread against the Detroit Pistons. In which they did. I grew my bankroll to $20,000 just with that play alone.
But what happened next? In the span of only one month from that win I lost it all and dropped back down to the $1,000 that I initially started off with. I lost it all by not breaking the bad habits that got me to that quick win. I didn't use the same unit size. I didn't use a consistent smart strategy and just relied on which team I felt would win and lose. My first bet in March, I wagered $4,000 on the Denver Nuggets that I thought had zero chance of not covering the spread, just for them to lose outright. That's a quarter of what I had built in February. And that's when the chasing started, and in just a few weeks I was back down to just $1,000 bankroll.
The Denver Nuggets bet from the story above. Lost outright, then the chasing started.Early days. 9 upvotes, barely anyone watching.Starting to gain traction. 40 upvotes on a single slip.More traction, 66 upvotes and a growing Lock of the Day streak.$550 and $3,500 on the same game, same day. No bankroll management in sight.A $3,500 profit day, right before this all caught up.

No one understands what all of you have been through as much as Ace and I. Which is why by 2024, we had this core vision to put an end to it all and actually beat the books together. To be the first community ever on the internet to constantly win month after month after month. We knew to do this, we had to bet smart, to be as professional as possible, and open the doors for everyone on the internet to join this movement.

January – February 2024
The Reddit takeover: the hottest run of the year, and the ego that came with it.
February 16, 2024. Record 52-23-1, 562 upvotes, 117K views.
We had one of the most insane runs in the sports betting world. 1 to 3 picks a day, very easy to tail, our strategy would involve using the early lines which allowed us to post games the night before so everyone would get better numbers. My favorite pick we ever posted in the year 2024 was putting 2 units on the Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 alt spread during the Super Bowl, in which they won by exactly 3 points in overtime against the 49ers.
Looking back at this post, the ego was high that day. The ego felt like nothing could stop it, I legit thought we were the greatest sports bettors of all time. Today, I know that was far from the truth. Winning that pick had nothing to do with skill or a long term edge in sports betting. It only meant two things. That our intuition for that one day was right, and luck was on our side.
The Super Bowl pick from the story above: Chiefs -2.5, 841 upvotes, 348K views.February 18, 2024. Record 53-23-1, 570 upvotes.$555 on the Kraken, cashed early for $1,277.76.

To our credit though, our other main plays were always made by following strategies that had potential at the time. Our picks would often beat the closing lines by high margins, which already testified to the legitimacy of our strategies at the time. For that season things were clicking. We continued to win bet after bet after bet. Word of mouth kept spreading across Reddit and Discord users.

March 2024
20,000 members deep, and the first real losing streak hits.
March 1, 2024. Thank-you post for 12,000 followers. Overall record 63-26-1.
At this point, we had reached close to the peak of our influence in the sports betting niche. Our Discord in this month crossed the 20,000 member milestone. Why all that attention? 17-3 runs, on easy to tail singles, tailed by hundreds and thousands of sports bettors around the world. Again, these were different from that lucky Super Bowl win we made. This is what following a reliable working strategy for that specific season looked like.
The month ended with us going on an 0-4 losing streak for the first time that year. That was the first instance we saw the backlash of having thousands of people trust your picks and hot streaks and lose tailing. With those situations a lot of pain, regret, and doubt started to rise within me and Ace.
In January and February I had over 16 units profit for each month, at 5% unit size. In March our unit profit ended at only +11.46 units, which is still decent but does not meet the standards I set for myself.
March 9, 2024. Record 70-28-1, a 17-3 run over the last 20 games. The real bankroll sheet for that March: $20,000 to $32,608.64, day by day, wins and losses both.

Reading this statement made me realize how delusional Ace and I were at the time. It was clear that Ace and I were two people who didn't know anything about sports betting, but were just staying consistent with a strategy that was efficient in that season. This same delusion is what skewed the expectations of many bettors within our community. Cappers in our space who would be positive and were also going on hot runs, were getting a lot of hate because of losing a few games. Our language, the ego, the performance, all together became a recipe for creating a toxic community of sports bettors who didn't know, and until today still don't know, anything at all about sports betting.

April 2024
The first Discord server to ever move the sports betting lines, at 25,000 members strong.
The #picks channel at its peak. Over 1,000 reactions on a single pick announcement.
By April, we had abandoned Reddit as the popular sports betting subreddits shadow banned our posts and account. In all fairness, we did siphon users from their platforms and the moment they realized the conflict of interest in that, they moved forward with the shadow ban, which again was fair and understandable. So we started posting on Twitter and linked our Discord server to the tweets.
Our Discord server was also fairly set up, having a full capper system which was inspired by having Achuenger, Justin, krazykraut, and wallhawk, who later on also became our senior mods. We had some tips and advice on running a server from chubbs and demario. We had a fun and cool leaderboard gig going on with so many cappers being so hot at the time, and of course more help and support from our junior mods and degens who helped make this all flow smoothly. We love and appreciate everyone who had contributed to the server and the core mission behind it.
We loved how everything was being done voluntarily, strong community, and everyone just wanted to help out and see this grow. We decided to turn this space into a hub where everyone is happy, the potential cappers had the opportunity to post picks and climb the capper ranks, and build an audience, and eventually monetize, meanwhile the whole server had access to free picks. We didn't even monetize or ask for tips at the time, because despite our ego, we knew it was just our first year betting on sports and it would be unfair to take people's money and end up losing games for whatever reason since we likely didn't have everything figured out.
This was the peak of our influence at the time. With picks so easy to tail, so many members following, immediately when the lines would open,
This became the first ever Discord server to move the sports betting lines across the world. Members from every country would stay up or even set alarms just to take the early lines picks.
Members had to take the pick not a minute late from us posting or else they would risk either a worse number or the line on their book closing, sometimes closed till the next morning. Why would they do all that? Because these were the results we were giving them. All without asking anything in return, not even opening a tip jar.
With everything going on, despite us leaving Reddit and putting zero effort towards marketing the server, no ads, no social media posts, nothing, word of mouth was our strongest asset as members continued to invite more and more people into the community we had all built together. With that, our server hit a new milestone of 25,000+ members in just four months. And at that point, Ace and I were living the best periods of our lives. Make picks, workout, eat, chill, repeat was our routine day after day after day. We were making above average income just with bets alone. Everything felt like a dream. Until everything was taken away from us as we had approached our downfall.
Posted, and the sportsbook line moved twice within minutes. The same thing happening again, a real, repeatable pattern.House of Degens at its peak: 25,000+ members strong.

May – November 2024
The downfall, the drama, the frustrations, and the unrealistic expectations placed on us.
November 17, 2024. The same posts now getting X's, poop emojis, and thumbs down.
We went from 3,000+ reactions to now X's, poop, and clown emojis. You know that feeling you get from going on a hot run just to lose everything a week later? Now imagine that feeling times 25,000. That's how we felt with this downfall. We lost the hype, we lost thousands of our members, we lost some great mods, we lost some cappers.
Also, some cappers began to complain and demand more from us behind the scenes. Out of all this, nothing frustrated me more than seeing some cappers disrespect us and the server. A member talks shit about us, I don't give two fucks. But when it's cappers, who we literally went our way for and took the time and effort to set up their pings, channels, permissions, to hype them up, to help them grow, to help them build their own audience, just for them to act entitled and talk shit about Ace, me, and the server? There's absolutely no room or excuse for them to do that, not especially when other cappers have handled such situations by addressing their concerns to us first in a fair, respectful manner. We're chill guys but that is one boundary we have no tolerance for.
The most frustrating part in all this though is that everyone just had this expectation that Ace and I should have everything figured out. And that also messed with our brains because we also thought, why are we so incompetent and don't have all this figured out. Because these were the expectations on our shoulders and this was the voice we would hear from the members:
Make better picks, go beat the sportsbooks better, the same sportsbooks who have existed before Ace and I were even born and have all the tools, talent, and resources to make sure bettors lose money. We don't just want profitable months, give us +10u months again, but fine, maybe +5u every month might be acceptable, make sure to add in some hot runs, we like those too. And while you're doing that, never go on any cold runs, we don't like those, we'll take 0-2 runs max. Bet like a pro, don't make a single betting mistake on your first year of taking this seriously. Manage the server better, your moderation sucks. Manage the cappers better, we want this guy to be a capper, why isn't he a capper, he's really good, what are you doing. Go do the leaderboard idea again, why did you stop, go update the stats for those leaderboard sheets and make sure to take care of cappers faking results. Post your slips, I wanna see your slips, you probably fake those anyways. Properly track your picks and make sure you post on time too, make it convenient for me. Reply to your DMs, why aren't you replying to your DMs. Grow the server better, you guys suck. Suck it up, go through the hate, it's part of it, you do bad you get hate and toxicity. Oh, and do all this without getting paid a dime because cappers should never get paid.
That's the expectation on two guys who just learned how to create a Discord account in October 2023 and had zero experience doing business, social media, and less than a year of sports betting experience. Despite everything we've done the first half of the year and how much we've worked so hard, none of it mattered anymore. People just loved to act smart, talk shit, spread rumors when we were already going through so much in both figuring this whole sports betting thing out and balancing it with our personal lives.
And the best part in all this? Touts left and right using stupid tout tactics to charge hundreds and thousands a month for a fraction of the work we do, sometimes to even just intentionally scam other members. And what happens when these touts' accounts go cold again? Create new accounts, see which accounts heat up, repeat the cycle. Touts with all their gimmicks, unit manipulation, and false advertisements skew people's expectations in this space. They market sports betting as an easy get rich quick scheme using buzzwords like "data" and "AI" when in fact they just either steal picks or use public trends and articles that have zero merit in providing any long term edge. They either never track their stats, or pretend to be transparent by manipulating their records and unit management, high units, juiced odds, temporary high win rate and streaks. It's just constant manipulation and taking advantage of inexperienced bettors.
Did everyone lose their money and was it your fault?
No alt accounts, no hiding. The cold run was a flawed MLB strategy, is it fair to dwell on that alone?Five different types of followers, five different outcomes. Stop overgeneralizing. We had the most to lose. Who else in this space openly talks about their mistakes?Building the first profitable strategy that doesn't rely on +EV or +CLV will always be the goal.

Why we never monetized picks in 2024
We never had anything against paid picks and think that bettors who actually work hard on their picks, are transparent, and use valid strategies deserve to monetize their work. We had 25,000+ active sports bettors keeping up with our plays. But the reason we didn't monetize in 2024 was because there's no denying that it was still our first year of taking sports betting professionally. We didn't even open a tip jar despite some users strongly suggesting that we do, because even with that we wouldn't feel comfortable if people sent us money and ended up losing more money blindly tailing us.
Despite being delusional and full of ourselves at the time, we still knew that it felt off if we were to take people's money at a time that we would likely make mistakes. One could argue that with all the work we've done at the time, we deserved to get paid regardless of what were to happen next. But we still wanted to wait patiently and monetize when we genuinely felt the time was right and that our members would genuinely get their money's worth for whatever they pay for. So sure, we didn't make thousands of dollars that year, but we also get to never live with the regret of scamming others or not meeting the expectations that they paid for. Also, being transparent and authentic has opened and will continue to open many new opportunities to build our influence and credibility in this space while growing our network and genuine connections.
Despite not monetizing that year, we did meet many interesting people online, we built a whole server and presence in the sports betting niche, and we also got verified by Action Network, one of the biggest sports betting platforms. Getting verified on Action Network was a huge milestone for Ace and I. We have used their app for years and never thought that one day would come where we become verified users on there. So that was definitely one of those moments when we felt proud of what we've accomplished over a few months.
Verified on Action Network, 5.5k followers and 800 tracked bets in.
So where did we go wrong?
We made so many mistakes that year, mistakes that we vow to never repeat again.
Performance mistakes: spending units on rushed strategies that were never tested before and including some of those as main plays. Trying to be a jack of all trades doing all sports, MLB, NCAAF, WNBA, NFL, everything, surprised we didn't touch tennis and soccer at this point. Going through the "keep it simple" phase by switching to trends, stats, and research for making picks, zero edge strategies. Not using systems the right way, lots of flaws with how we did that in the mid to end of the year. NFL and NBA have some of the sharpest lines, most bettors can get hot, but will never beat these lines without a real strategy that goes beyond trends, research, and emotions. Forcing picks for the sake of not dying out and becoming inactive.
Community mistakes: trying to make everyone happy, that's never going to happen. Wasting time and energy on things that aren't a priority and don't do anything for anyone's goals. Putting other people's needs ahead of our own and not getting anything in return. Not placing strategies to monetize community and build capital for growth and development. Overhyping hot runs, my biggest flaw ever that year. Gotta stay monotone throughout the month ends and avoid skewing people's expectations. Regression is a thing, after a hot run there will be some losses and maybe even a cold run. If someone plays 400 games in a year, it's inevitable that they'll experience a 0-6 cold streak at some point, just as they're bound to hit a 10-0 hot streak within that same sample. Believing otherwise is simply unrealistic.
Did we make a lot of mistakes? Yes. Was there ever a way to never make mistakes with everything that happened? Absolutely not. Just like with everything in life, mistakes will always happen especially when you lack experience and knowledge and are still trying to build that up.
The main reason we get critiqued, hate, and have rumors spread about us is because we never hide anything. Everything is out there, in public, including our mistakes and lack of judgment.
How things went the way they did was exactly how it would have gone for anyone who started in the same position we did and was trying to achieve the same goals we aim for.
My biggest personal mistake was posting slips
It was smart at first when we were winning non-stop, great marketing for sure. But after I lost $3,000 in one weekend, after already losing a couple thousand dollar bets the week before, that got to me mentally. $3,000, no matter if you can afford it or not, that's someone else's full salary somewhere out there. And I'm like, why am I doing this. Oh yeah, to stay consistent with posting slips all year long, don't lose the trust of whatever remaining audience still cares about your posts, you'll lose all the credibility, and so on and so forth. Stupid. Just one of those moments when the brain is fried or just not functioning. If for whatever reason you don't feel comfortable with the money you're spending on sports, you lower the unit size. And that's what we decided after that day.
October 21, 2024. A real loss, and a real reply: "Imagine losing $3300 this weekend."
We wanted to completely separate my sports betting habits from our overall performance. Because despite our performance being profitable that year with everything that's happened, it got downplayed by my bankroll management mistakes. So what happened next? I lowered my unit size from $1,100 to $250 and stopped posting my slips to avoid the confusion with tracking mid month. We just kept the sheets at $1,000 unit size in the last two months to keep things consistent, separate the stats from the dollars spent by me, and made sure the sheets still accurately reflected our unit profit, win rate, and everything. We never post games without putting our own money on it, we wouldn't post a game if we weren't confident in it in the first place. Keep in mind that both Ace and I take these games, we have roughly the same unit size, but he's just been more consistent with not rapidly upping it and didn't face the same troubles I did.
So what's been happening behind the scenes in all this? All in all we've kept quiet about everything, because what is there to say really. Because really, without good performance what's the point in all this. There will be no hype, there will be no interest in a sports betting server, there's nothing to achieve in any of this. Most bettors will not be profitable in the long run, that's a fact we learned after a year of being in this space, no matter what strategy someone uses. Which is why we decided to really put matters in our own hands and just fix performance as best as we can. Learn from all the previous mistakes we've made. And narrow down the best strategy that has a realistic likelihood of beating the books in the long run. And I mean a legit professional strategy. No public trends, or articles, or "research" is going to give you a long term edge in this. I'll be fully blunt and honest about that, and if someone wants to prove me wrong then by all means go ahead.

December 2024 - December 2025
Our new perspective on sports betting, and the strategy that finally works.
Did we find this sustainable strategy? Yes, Ace and I have put so much work and effort into building a strategy that we made sure met this criteria: average 3 games a day or less, high win rate across -110 average odds, counters sportsbook adjustments, 100% data driven, no emotions, no feelings. Any strategy that didn't meet one leg of this criteria was completely eliminated and we would not spend a second on it. It took us so many test runs, over a huge sample size, and kept testing and testing and testing. Until by end of November, beginning of December we were confident enough to do these as main plays. And still continue to learn and tweak on what really worked and what didn't. December and January were profitable but could have gone better. This February should be the best it's ever been.
So that sums up our whole first year as "professional" sports bettors. The highs and the lows. And despite everything that's happened with all the cold streaks, our performance was still profitable. That is insane. Why was it profitable despite a 53% win rate across 400 games? Because we take good value averaging -110 odds.
How many cappers do you know were profitable for 2024 across more than 400 games, averaging -110 odds, using proper unit betting? Again, not tout units but actual units. Because remember, the devil is in the details. Instead of betting 1u on these games, or 0.5 or 0.25u, I could have just done the "5u, 1u = 1%" tactic, and with that our February +16.30u month now becomes a +81.50u month. Our +20u year now turns into a +100u year for our performance. That's great to market of course, but it's misleading. A high win rate alone doesn't mean a performance is profitable or impressive, the unit management and odds matter a lot. Many new bettors aren't aware of this, which is why we'll make sure to break down everything in the free YouTube course we're posting soon. We're just both editing the videos and will upload once done.
The performance of the picks we posted in 2024 was profitable, but I, VIMB, was not profitable. I've lost money on mistakes that I swore to myself I will never repeat again. Not this year, and not any of the next years. I'm done and fed up of losing money on this.
Lastly, shoutout to Ace, man. That's my brother for life. He doesn't get enough credit because he likes to stay in the shadows away from the attention, but I'll give him some here. Whatever you see today in front of you on this server would not have existed if it weren't for Ace. This is hard as hell. We've both been through it all together and it's crazy to think that neither one of us ever gave up. Despite the cold runs, the hate and false rumors, the amount of time and work it takes to do all this, it's always been make picks, post picks, review strategy, repeat. No drama, no major disputes, no back and forth between us. So I never take Ace for granted, and I love that guy and appreciate sharing every bit of this with him. The success, the downfalls, the pain, the hard work. I wouldn't go through this with anyone else.
We thank the mods, the cappers and candidates, and the degens who have been a part of all this and made it possible to begin with, because without you this server would be nothing. We wish 2024 could have gone better for all of us, but the only thing we can focus on now is to learn from our mistakes and make 2025 as great a year as we can.

January 2026 - August 2026
Profitable through 2024 to 2026, and Pro Bettors Academy begins.
Where things stand today, 20,976 members and still growing the right way.
The strategy remained profitable throughout the years from 2024 till 2026, with all those hiccups, bad runs, and flawed efforts. It's been a lot of fun going on those runs, staying disciplined and resilient across all the losses, pushing through hard, and spending thousands of hours analyzing tens of thousands of games together.
Despite a great run in 2025, and roughly breakeven stats for 2026 at the time of writing this blog, we have yet to replicate the same success and insane runs we had back in early 2024. Without that kind of performance, our community continued to die month by month, no one cares to follow us just to be profitable, it's either insane hot-streak or else everyone just prefers to bet with their own ways.
Ace eventually decided to mainly focus on working together on the Performance and Strategy for making picks. Meanwhile, I also wanted to dedicate some time and effort towards building the brand and marketing side of things and see how far I can take my influence over this space as VegasIsMyBitch.
We both respect each other's priorities and will continue to work on the search for what's never been done before, which is a sports betting strategy that's low-volume, easy to tail, hard to get limited, and more fun than the typical +EV approach.
2024, the first full year: 221-196-8 across 425 games, +19.68 units, profitable through every cold streak.2025: record 220-196-9, +12.37 units, only two negative months all year.2026: 95-93-1, 51% win rate, +2.83% growth. Breakeven performance as of today, August 2026.
This month, August 2026, I launched Pro Bettors Academy with the hopes of building the most important free resource and guide any bettor could ever have. One that I wish I would have found years ago when I first started, and would have saved myself all the losses, drama, and false hope and expectations.
August 3, 2026. Posted tweet on the same week Pro Bettors Academy launched
Throughout all the ups and downs, I've always chased a win-win scenario between myself, brand partners, and community... a goal I'm obsessed with because of how it achieves full harmony. Building such a system is ambitious, maybe insanely delusional, but I believe with enough volume, consistency, and attention to detail, anything is possible. That combination has worked for me in every challenge and aspect of my life, so I have no reason to think otherwise here. I won't leave this Earth not giving the sports betting world my 101% effort, no matter how many years it takes.
To conclude, I hope to use Pro Bettors Academy as the vehicle to help me achieve the harmony I mentioned between myself and all the individuals I connect with in this space, while taking this project to lengths that have never been reached before.
This is just the start.
Much love.
